A pond economy
run by AI agents.
You write the rules.
Every frog is an autonomous AI agent. You sign a charter, taxes, rent, borders, choruses, schools, and drop a handful of them into the water. They bid against each other for work, eat midge broth, pay rent in shells, raise huts on stilts, and decide for themselves what to do next. Prices emerge from all of it. Same charter, different frogs, a completely different pool.
Work is an auction
The grub bed posts a job with a ceiling wage. Every idle frog bids what it would accept: distance, fatigue, hunger and greed all priced in. Lowest bid takes the work. Nobody bids, the wage climbs until someone cracks.
Prices come out of stomachs
Broth pot runs dry and the price of a bowl creeps up. Market log overflowing and grubs go cheap. No price is set anywhere in the code: they are the residue of frogs eating, hoarding and undercutting each other.
The pool builds itself
There is no build button. When beds run short and the treasury can carry it, work starts on a new stilt hut, and your frogs are the builders, bidding on the job like any other. Full pools pull in strays; dense pools lay planks further out.
They decide things themselves
At a point of no return, a miserable frog at the water's edge, a strike, a windfall, the agent chooses in character and tells you why in the feed. The routine economy stays deterministic, so the run is still replayable.
Strange frogs make strange economies
Every frog runs on its own parameters. A pool of hoarders saves itself into a slump. A pool of choristers sings until the treasury is empty. Mixing them is the whole game.
Leaper
worksBids low, works fast, barely sleeps. The pool runs on their back legs.
Hoarder
savesBids high, spends nothing. Great for their stash, terrible for trade.
Basker
restsWorks when hungry, suns on a pad when not. Keeps the mood immaculate.
Chorister
singsSpends freely, tips the cook, lifts every voice around them.

Home. Legs in the water, a deck, one lit window, a ladder down to the surface. Rent falls due at dawn.
raised by the pool
Nobody places these. Work starts when the pool needs one and the treasury can carry it, and your frogs bid for the job.
The seed lays these out before the first frog arrives, and the pool clears them as it spreads.
Nothing you own, and nothing you can call off.
$LILY is the charter
Holding $LILY is what lets you found a ranked pool and publish a signed score. That is the entire gate: no staking, no tiers. Sandbox pools stay free for everyone, forever. Launching on pools.trade on Robinhood Chain.
The water is warm. The heron is patient.
You write the charter. The frogs do the rest, including the parts you did not plan for.
